I paint to capture and share personal moments that might otherwise disappear.

Working from my own photographs, I compose a scene, a story. I am visually drawn to many classic things, but prefer painting them in a slightly less expected way by throwing a composition off, or keeping some mystery to it.

My paintings express the character of beautiful patterns and textures, a loved one, household objects, a landscape, through color, light and texture. This way of seeing is endlessly inspiring to me and will always be at the heart of my work .
